configuration (yet), no DOVE-Net nodes will have them in their configuration to begin with.
That said, I hope the new "safe spaces" to discuss/use (generative) AI will be appreciated by some.
Come on, it's just ai. Do people need safe spaces about ai talk and content? Are you serious?

Some people don't want to hear/read about AI - they're "safe" from it by not carrying or reading that sub. That's what I mean by "safe space". Sorry to have triggered you; I hope you get can the help you need. :-P
2023 - AI Discussion
2024 - AI Playground (post your AI slop/noise here, if you insist)
Another new DOVE-Net conference added today:
2025 - Health and Wellness
... yeah, some of us are getting (or already gotten) to "that age" :-)

:) Sometimes it happens sooner too, depending on things.
Also, I think health & wellness could include mental health as well as physical health, and mental health issues (such as anxiety & depression) could affect people of any age.
Originally, DOVE-Net was kind of the "anti-FidoNet" and part of that meant doing almost everything differently - e.g. where FidoNet had hundreds of echoes, we just had a dozen or so. Now it's a couple dozen. :-)I would have loved to see Fidonet to have a spring cleaning and go thru

I would have loved to see Fidonet to have a spring cleaning and go thru some of the very dead echos.

If a sysop doesn't want an dead echo on their board, they can simply unlink from it and remove it.
What I've always wanted is to be able to link the whole
backbone, then
have a BBS system that would automatically create areas if
they receive
traffic, and delete them after x months of inactivity.
Wouldn't that be
cool?

Claude can probably help you with that. ;) I would assume you'd also want it to do the opposite... somehow figure out when new echoes were added, and also to re-add old echoes if the traffic picks back up?
